International EMS Guarantee Service
(Source: ems.com.cn)
China Postal Express & Logistics provides an International EMS Guarantee Service for EMS shipments to specified countries and regions. Customers can inquire about the end-to-end time limit for shipments and demand a refund for shipments delivered in excess of the promised time for postal reasons. This service is available for shipment to Australia, Hong Kong, Japan, Korea, USA, UK, Spain, and France.
Advantages of the Guarantee Service
- Extensive coverage — the network terminals of the posts worldwide reach hundreds of thousands of customers. Australia Post, China Postal Express & Logistics, Hong Kong Post, Japan Post, Korea Post, USPS, Royal Mail, Correos, and La Poste possess over 300 million delivery points and 140,000 postal outlets.
- Multi-channel information access — the CPEL website (www.11183.com.cn), a nationwide unified hotline 11183 with 7 × 24h service, and postal offices spread across cities and towns.
- Real-time track & trace service — customers can track EMS items in real time, with tracing information proactively provided to contract customers.
- Guaranteed delivery time — calculated from postcode to postcode using unique postcode resources; this is the maximum time span needed, so actual delivery can be shorter.
- Compensation for delay — if actual delivery time exceeds the guaranteed delivery time due to service failure, the postage paid shall be returned to customers.
Instructions
- The customer should write the correct destination zip code in the recipient address column on the EMS waybill (except shipments to Hong Kong).
- To obtain more information about the promised time limit or trace the shipment, log on to the website or call the national service hotline 11183. Basic information needed: collecting date, origin zip code, and destination zip code (except Hong Kong).
- In case of delayed delivery for guaranteed shipments, the sender can request a refund within 30 days of the collecting date. The postal service should reply within 7 working days; if the sender raises no claim within the stipulated time, no refund will be issued. If the postal service is found responsible upon verification, postal fees (excluding packing, customs clearance, and other costs) shall be returned to the sender.
Notes
- The promised time limit is calculated based on the collecting date, origin zip code, and destination zip code (except Hong Kong); accurate destination zip code and recipient address must be provided for guaranteed shipments.
- Guarantee service is only available in specified areas.
- CPG shall bear no responsibility for shipment delay in the following cases:
- The sender fails to write the destination zip code in the required place on the waybill (except Hong Kong).
- The destination zip code is not covered by the guarantee service, or the recipient address and zip code are incomplete or incorrect.
- The shipment cannot be delivered due to refusal by the recipient or an unknown recipient.
- The shipment cannot be delivered as scheduled due to the activities of customs or other competent authorities.
- In case of war, natural disaster, or other force majeure.
